Here you can discuss the games series mainly, however i guess the manga and anime are fair game as well.
My main point for now is to anyone who happens to own a diamond or Pearl. I am game for any battles anyone here would like to go. Any offers?

I wish I have the newer games but it won't make much of a difference when I only own the oldest Nintendo handheld....so bulky. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon (title?) and Rangers both look very fun though. I'm particularly impressed by the massive number of overworld sprites, since I don't think that's been done before in any of the Pokemon reincarnations until now.

True, and I don't think I've ever met Jessie, James, and Meowth in any of the games. I remember back in the first game, we were escastic about battling Team Rocket but Alas, I never caught a Pikachu. No red head with a pony tail followed me, and I never met a Pokemon Breeder.

You need Yellow version for that. They edited some of Yellow for the American release too. =/

Yeah, you only do in the Yellow version, which was made to appease the fans who were like "WTF WHY AREN'T JESSIE/JAMES/MEOWTH/INSERTOTHERMAINCHARACTER HERE IN THE GAME?" The fact is, the anime was BASED on the games, not the other way around, thus the lack of main characters. XP
I have Diamond, unfortunately, I don't have wi-fi. It keeps dying when I try.

I know that a Pikachu follows you in Yellow.....but is 'our' Team Rocket really in there as well? I've always had a soft spot for them, just like I do with the Bonnes. I seem to recall people with this tiny handheld where you take care of a Pikachu. It's one of those 'shake it till it grows' game. XD Edit: Hehe, the Pokedex was a really disappointment as well. We all thought it would give you some 'useful' intel on Pokemon prior to a battle but, as we all know, it only makes a list of the Pokemon you've caught/encountered.

Yeah, Jessi, James and Meowth. They keep Ekins/Koffing throughout the game as well.

They don't appear often, and really, they disappear after a while as well. I've beaten yellow but haven't made a complete file yet because I still have to level up several Pokemon. Last I remember I was working on a Dragonite at the level 40 range, I believe (playing as a Dragonair).

Dragonite.....that reminds me of the time I tried desperately to catch a Dratini at the Safari zone because I was told it'll grow into that BIG Dragonite from the anime. XP I believed everything in those days. No matter how I tried, the lake where I can catch that alleged Dratini is too far away with the number of steps I'm alloted though.

It's not that hard. Just walk straight up from the entrance till you're at the lake, then cast and recast till he appears. You do need the best rod in the game though.

i used to like pokemon but now i think of it as a game where you take turns hitting eachother with lots of secrets also you cannot really complete it without friends who own it.
