So... does that mean there's no big difference between the two new remakes? Other than the Pokemon within each game?

as far as i know that's right, gold and silver were basically the same, largest difference would be ho-oh and lugia. ho-oh you catch in gold, lugia in silver.

Actually you just caught them at different levels.
It was pretty much the same in both games but, just like in Red and Blue, you couldn't catch certain Pokemon and had to trade to get all of them.

yeah they start at 40 dollars now, exception being if it's been out for a long time usually. games like mario kart and pokemon seem to only go down to 30 dollars at a minumum no matter how long they've been out. i think you can buy some games cheaper online though, like amazon.

Alright, I'm dying to know. Did anyone else get Pokemon Black or White? I did, and I daresay it's the best Pokemon game I've ever played. The story is beautiful, and doesn't just end halfway to fighting the Elite Four like most Pokemon games do. There are also a ton of new places to explore even after you beat the Elite Four. The graphics are impressive, there's actually a sense of depth! (You get to walk behind buildings too!) I love the music, it easily gets stuck in my head. The gym leaders are more than just another challenge. They are actually part of the game's story. And I love that Zubat and Tentacruel aren't there anymore to make sea routes and caves a living hell! The total lack of Pokemon from previous generations makes it feel like a brand new experience that the Pokemon franchise has needed for 10 years now. This game is beyond great to me. And I've been playing since the days of Red and Blue.

Wait, there are NO Pokemon from other generations?
That was pretty much the only reason I even played the new games. I mean, all the Pokemon from the last three generations just look like the kind of thing an aborted fetus would doodle. In games like Pokemon Diamond, my team only ever consisted of first or second generation Pokemon.

I thought Generation V (White in my case) was actually quite beautiful as well. Yes, there is a lack of previous generation pokemon in the beginning, but after the main story behind "N" (yes that's his name) is out of the way, the new post-game routes and caves that are opened hold quite a few of the old generation pokemon. This did disappoint me in a way, but I agree to the fact that it was a new experience nevertheless. Why they named they gave the main characters the english names Hilbert and Hilda, I'll never know, but the frontier has "changed" into the "Battle Subway" and if you were to play in multi-trainer, your opposite gender character would be the one assisting you. Just thought that was an interesting addition. There's tons of other things I could talk about but I'd rather not spoil the fun. (added in the link for N)

I actually enjoy the newer designs more than the Generation 1 designs, myself. I thought Generation V (White in my case) was actually quite beautiful as well. You must tell me your current team! Mine is: Jellybro (Reuniclus) lv. 64 Giant (Golurk) lv. 64 Slacks (Scrafty) lv. 64 Tesla (Galvantula) lv. 65 Wotter (Samurott) lv. 65 Candlier (Chandelure) lv.62 And I'm in the process of completing my Unova pokedex and defeating the Elite Four and Champon for real.
