Just finished watching it. I hope we can see screenies of how the game will look soon. I think it's cool how this game has staff who worked on Monster Hunter Tri and breath of fire also working on it. All-in-all this game looks like it's set up to succeed well.

If you watch the game credits for the games, you'll notice "Breat of Fire Resque Team" is in there. ;D

Oh, cool! It's nice to know a lot of the original team is back for Legends 3. Yes, this all definitely looks promising. And I would love to have the whole Legends series on PSN.

You know, I was just wondering yesterday... Do we know if MML3 will be released outside of Japan?

Early build footage from NY Comic Con!
Looks good, I like the new one-armed reaverbot. Man I wish I could be there and see this stuff in person.

Awesome video, It looks like Capcom is staying very true to the original games.
On the heroine poll, I voted for Shinsuke Komaki's gal. However it looks like Sensei Haruki Suestugu's is the one who's going to make it to the game. I don't mind though, they all look nice imo (except... ironically Keji Inafune's)

I like the Island decorations with the gears etc, and how its tall. The reaverbot's body looks similar to Klaymoor's body, its a good design I think.
I only had to look through the characters once before I knew exactly which one I wanted to see, and that was Shinsuke Komaki. And I did take into account the actual design of the characters, and did not base my decision on the artwork. The outfit is awesome, and I like the hairstyle.

I love the cheering when the Servbot appears! Hahah That was awesome. Kinda like when Trigger was shown for Tatsunoko. I'd be one of them cheering every time they showed a Servbot. I'm excited about the heroine contest, too, UGR. I really like a lot of the designs. It's awesome to think that our votes could determine a lot of Legends 3's story. I'm thinking Inafune had that design in mind for a while. hahah I don't know... I almost feel like voting for a design other than Inafune's would be wrong... Maybe he already has a background story planned for this heroine? Also, Hayato Kaji's design looks almost like Mayl from Battle Network. There was one episode when her hair got fried and she had to wear a hat similar to that one. The designer did work on Battle Network, so that could be a reason. That is a cool design, however. I like the sideways Metall hat she's got. I really like Shinsuke Komaki's design. It looks like she'd be a fun character. Tatsuya Yoshikawa and Toru Nakayama have very different, also very cool designs, as well as the others. It was really hard to choose... But I ended up going for Sensei Haruki Suetsugu's design. She looks like she'd be really interesting and she really seems to fit. I had a very hard time with this design and Shinsuke Komaki's design. I'll actually be fine if either of those win. I still feel bad to Inafune...

I so would have been one of those people cheering for the Servbot. The only real wonder I have about Legends 3 is where it's gonna start; on Elsyium, or on Terra. Otherwise, Capcom can just surprise me again the rest of the way.

Woah, woah, woah. What is this? I haven't been keeping up with every little detail, and I don't plan to until some more concrete info starts to emerge, but an article about Legends 3 showed up on my favorite gaming news site, so I decided to read it.
The rest of you seem excited about this heroine contest, but some alarms went off in the back of my mind when I was reading about it. Have they announced this character's role, and just how important she will be to the plot? (The article didn't specify.) I certainly hope it won't be anything too essential considering those designs.
I honestly dislike them all, and not just because I see this Lilly character as a hell-spawned interloper who will undoubtedly earn my ever-lasting hatred. I think all those designs either too boring and simple or overly Final Fantasized. I won't be voting because I don't care about this character or what she will look like. Not that it would matter if I cared about that, seeing as how she will just end up looking like a weeaboo's wet dream anyway.

Thoughts on heroines:
I'm thinking that this should start off on the right foot, the heroine designs should match the originals as closely as possible.
If you consider the character designs of most of the female characters (with any important role) in MML, you can pick out a few key features. Typically, each female character has a skin-tight underlayer of clothing and a second layer of clothing above the first, such as a jacket or vest. Shoes are normally clasped, (no laces visible) and are often in-line to match inner layer of clothing. Those who DO dig also wear heavier layers of clothing and since this is a heroine contest, I expect them to see combat and have more skin covered to be practical in a battle.
Therefore, based on the designs, I've evaluated them from best-matching to worst-matching according to the original MML designs....
Most In-Line and True to the Originals: -Hayato Kaji (Probably the most loyal design to the originals, actually, and just one step above Inafune's) -Inafune's (Man did it right even if the overall design is a combo of other Legends characters) -Toru Nakayama (She actually looks like she can hold her own in a fight against a Reaverbot. She's certainly geared up for it.)
More of a Mish-Mash of Legends + Other Series: -Ryuji Higurashi (Bunny ears = Yuna pigtails?; Clothes resembles Roll's; Hat = Ciel inspired?) -Shinsuke Komaki (Looks to me like a mishmash of Legends X Digimon X Battle Network + Miku Hatsume sleeves) -Sensei Haruki Suetsugu (Roll's jacket + Sera's hair + western shootout theme? At least she looks capable of navigating a ruin. Skeptical about that one....)
Those too far off-base with Legends: -Kazushi Itou (Please take the next train back to Ben 10.) -Hideki Ishikawa (Mexican with Blouse.... you gotta be kidding me.) -Tatsuya Yoshikawa (What kind of heroics does she do, exactly? Patrols a Red Light District somewhere in the Digimon Universe?)
-----
Now despite giving a run-down on how true they are to the games, I think you all know how much of a Yuna and Roll fan I am. The bunny girl got my vote because she looked like a combination of both. Ok, I admit that I'm a sucker for characters that look like Yuna. >.<

-Hayato Kaji - Boring.
-Inafune's - Hair makes me want to vomit.
-Toru Nakayama - One step away from being a Pokemon.
Aside from the first one, who would probably fit in despite her plain design, the others all look like they were made by people who were trying too hard. The girls from Legends certainly don't dress plainly or sport average hairstyles, but they also don't look like super saiyan hookers.
I will say this: if the first one were redesigned to look like she was not preparing for some sort of apocalypse, (Lose the helmet and boots maybe.) then she would be acceptable. I would still hate the character, but I wouldn't hate the way she looked.
