The official announcement has been made, and we're all exctatic to finally have a sequel to the series that is the very reason for this website's existence. This site is definitely going to get busy soon so I feel it's worth making an official discussion thread. This thread will first start off as formal and then move to informal, as so that all information will be displayed UP FRONT on the first several post which will be edited as more information is revealed. MegaMan Legends 3 Data: Announce Date: September 29, 2010 Release Date: UNKNOWN! Systems: Nintendo 3DS (Handheld) Producer: Keiji Inafune Director: Masakazu Eguchi Perks Known Already: - Keiji Inafune, producer of the previous games in the series, has revealed that Capcom is going to develop MML3 in a new development format. He says that he's not going to make a game just to make a game, but this is going to be a fan-driven development process. Perhaps the Capcom Suggestion Box was a preemptive for this new development process?
- Keiji will "fill in the gaps" since we last left off at the end of Legends 2. This will most likely involve a recap in MML3, similar to the introduction in MML2.
- It's going to be on a handheld console. Potential skeptisism on the total amount of voice acting?
- Tron has been added to Marvel vs Capcom 3, and many believe her voice actor is Caroly Larson, the original voice of Tron Bonne.

Misadventures of Tron Bonne
Data: Release Date: April 30, 2000 Systems: PS1 Producer: Keiji Inafune
Plot Summary: A Gaiden-esque game, it's something of a prequel to MML1 before Tron Bonne meets MegaMan. TMoTB
Key Plot Events: -Well-known: -In their early days of notoriety, Teisel Bonne borrowed money from Lex Loathe in order to buy parts for the Gesselschaft. Lex Loathe then double-crossed the Bonnes and kidnapped Teisel and Bon because they gave him no time to repay this debt. Tron then learns about this debt and sets out to repay it and free her brothers. -Lex Loathe also double crosses Tron and cons her as well. Because of Loathe's underhanded tactics, he charges ridiculous amounts of interest and in the end, he also forces Tron to work for him. But she won't stay in slavery for long because she planned a jailbreak. -Upon busting out of Loathe's stronghold with the aid of the Servbots, Tron, Teisel, and Bon find out that Loathe was trapping all of these diggers in debt to unearth the Colossus, a gigantic reaverbot that he planned to take control of so that the can control the world. In the end, the Bonnes successfully destroy the Colossus and send Loathe to jail so that he can trouble the world no longer.
-Not-so-well-Known: -There probably aren't many hidden plot events, but Loathe only appears in this game and Tron originally planned to use Red Head Parts when she created the Servbts (but couldn't get enough for all of the Servbots).
Main Character Bios: -Tron Bonne: Tron Bonne, the heroine (or leading villian) of her own game, was originally introduced in MegaMan Legends 1. She has many qualities which lead to giving her a game of her own.
Despite being a pirate and arch-rival of MegaMan, The Misadventures of Tron Bonne takes place before MegaMan Legends 1 as far as the timeline goes. The game truly shows how capable Tron is as both an opponent, but it also shows an inside look into her personal life when she's not out plundering villages for riches. She more capable than her older brother in many ways but he often holds her back because she's still young and he's simply overprotective of her.
Among the many qualities she possesses, she's a brilliant mechanic, pilot, and strategist. Her leadership skills are quite as polished as Teisel's (often restorting to brute force before she considers negotiation), but she's more than willing to take matters into her own hands when things get rough.
-Teisel Bonne: Teisel, like Tron, was first introduced in MegaMan Legends 1 and appears less frequently in The Misadventures of Tron Bonne. That's only natural, however, because the purpose of the game is to resque him from Loathe's gang of pirates. Despite appearances, he's also a capable pilot and can hold his own unless he's completely outmatch by a strong rival. He can also give a pep talk like no other.
While Tron is the more capable fighter, Teisel has other qualities that keep him as the head of the Bonne family. He less quick to make rash decisions (unless a certain blue boy's around) and is a more capable leader than Tron. Not even Tron makes decisions without his final say (when he's around, that is) because she always requests his input before giving the final go-ahead in their operations.
-Bon Bonne: Bon Bonne, the youngest "sibling" of the Bonne family, is somewhat of an enigma. In all three games, he's a baby despite having large gaps of time between each game. It's not known whether or not this large, bulky, metallic body of his actually contains a real person or if he's just a robot with a mind of an infant.
-The Servbots: The Servbots take the forefront of TMOTB along with Tron, their creator. The Servbots have an unmistakable talent for being overwhelmingly cute. Their main role is to help Tron with everything she does as she makes her resque attempt to get Teisel back.
Servbots are something of a Mascot for MML, showing up as cameos in many non-MML games made by Capcom. A good reason for that is being rather hopeless but exceedingly cute. They also help Tron from everything ranging to taking out the trash to tossing bombs to help Tron in combat.
-Lex Loathe and Glyde: Introduction of Glyde and his role as a bodyguard and associate of Lex Loathe. Lex Loathe is similar to a mafia crime boss and Glyde is a pirate with Birdbot goons. Therefore, they resemble the Bonnes in many ways but the Bonnes don't have an crime boss in charge of their operations.
Secondary Character Bios: -Denise: Found in the Mission 1 episodes (and plays a role in the ending scenes), Denise is a member of the Ryship Island Police Force. While she always tries her hardest to do a good job, she's rather clumsy and not very competent so she's no match for Tron and her Servbots.

Often debated subjects:
The Love Triangle of MegaMan/Roll/Tron:
<Incomplete>
Zero in Legends:
Many fans have speculated IF Zero should have a MegaMan Legends counterpart. It's been a split debate for a while because some fans think that Zero will "make the story darker" and some think he'll fit well -- buried in the ruins of ancient history and could fit well in the games. He could have a "second life" where he could be much like MegaMan without the darkness of all X-related series (because Sigma-esque characters don't mix well with MML). There is no denying, however, that Zero is a popular character and once lived in the same world that is now Terra.
Many fans DON'T want Zero because he usually brings "baggage" from the X series with him. Due to the lightheartedness of MML and how it greatly contrasts from the X series, Zero is seen as sort of an anti-Legends character; one that won't do well in the world of MML. Due to Sigma's and Wiel's relentless pursuit of Zero and the chaos caused by such madmen, many fans are wary that Zero + MML = dark and serious plot and cannot be MML. Many fans love MML because it's lighthearted, comical, and is more about adventure and having fun (not saving the world from an iron-fisted evil being bent on world domination).

Additional Info:
Rockman Memories/Rockman Perfect Memories:
Rockman Memories were publications released only in Japan at Rockman's 10th and 15th Anniversary.
In one of them, there was a section about Legends and some important details pulled from it were that MegaMan Legends takes places "thousands of years in the future after MegaMan X." This is reinforced by a line said by the master himself in the cutscenes after the Geetz battle, where he said this:
"For 3,000 years I have lived a life free of hardship and pain and obeying my hearts desires. I then wonder, was I truly happy?"
The key FACTS we can pull from this is that MegaMan Legends IS a part of the same world as the classic MegaMan Games and MegaMan X, and so on. The time period, however, is in the far distant future, taking place THOUSANDS of years later. The Master's birthdate is also unknown in relation to the X/classic series so Legends could take place plus or minus 3000 years from those games.

As far as voice acting goes, I saw a 3DS preview video that showed Resident Evil 4 or maybe a graphically reduced 5 being played. If whichever game this is is unaltered, (Aside from its graphics.) they both feature a lot of voice acting, so I don't see why MML3 couldn't.

What? This topic is crazy SIM, haha. I guess it'll make sense after you fill everything in. But... "useful" links? I wouldn't list the MLU homepage I haven't updated it in years. Looks like I have my work cut out for me... holy crap MegaMan Legends 3.
But anyways, yeah as of this post we really only know it's being developed for the 3DS. Other than that, I'm just thrilled it's finally announced. I wonder if I should make an actual section on the board for Legends 3? Maybe wait till there's more info? This is ridiculous I still don't know how to react to this I'm in shock.

I know we can't really make a plot subsection yet, but at least a game or some kind of temporary sub for now. This seems too big to confine to the Series section, you know what I mean? We've been waiting ten years, so let's indulge ourselves!

It must have been quite liberating to create this new branch, eh SD?
EDIT: I'm kinda worried about how the fan suggestion system will be executed.
Also the forums have become more active today than they have been in the past... what, 4 years?
