GOSH!!! Meman X6 is SOOO hard!!! I finally beat all of the robot masters (which, IMO, had REALLY stupid names), and got to the final area, like in the original series when you go to Wily's lab. The final area is IMPASSIBLE, unless you have the shadow armor or the, I think, falcon something armor. Or if you get the secret ninja armor from using the code. ANYWAYS, why was this game such a disappointment? Was anyone else as disappointed as I was? Just wanna know. It frustrates me so much!! Ughhh! If anyone needs me, I'll be in my room *slams door*

I was able to beat it. Fairly easily, too. Which level are you on?

The one where you enter the lab of the robot scientist and there's the spikes on the walls and it's like frickin impossible to get through it!!!!

I think that's the trash compactor level, right? I remember jumping into pits and lightly tapping the jump button to avoid getting hit by the spikes.

I love this game so much. Don't get me wrong, I mean, compared to other MegaMan games, this game stinks, but man... X6 is a good game. Anyways, ever area in the game is "beatable" with a normal MegaMan X armor, I did it not to long ago. You just need to have the jumper part and use the ice weapon to get pass the spike walls in the first part of Gate's lab (it also helps if you exploit the invulnerable flashing time you get from the dog enemies). And, the part after you kill High Max, you know what part, that impossible unless you have an air dash jump, you just need the Speedster part, and fall off the high wall, hold right, and rapidly fire the Ground Dash weapon (this'll increase air distance slightly, allowing you to grab the other wall). Then, it's all a matter of smacking down people with your X Buster. I love this game man, especially when I play as just X, ignore Zero completely, it really brings X back as his badass self as he was in X1 and X2.

Sigma is easy to beat with Zero. He's harder with MegaMan. Just for reference.

I think its the hardness of a game that makes it fun. Besides my friend beat the last areas without dying.(150th post)

I agree MegamanBetaVersion. Sometimes, the difficulty of a game makes it so much better. Like, MegaMan Dr. Wily's Revenge will always be my favorite original series game, because it was the hardest for me to master. And playing through the hard modes of MegaMan Zero games without using Cyber Elfs are also lots of fun, it really pushes your limit of skill.
But X6 was just... frustratingly difficult. It wasn't really like a, "Oh yeah, I know I can do this." challenge, it was more of a "Ok... I'll do it but it's not going to be fun..." I mean, those trash compactors, the spikes all over the place, it doesn't take skill to get through that, it takes patience. ANYONE can beat this game, they just need to be somehow motivated, and have enough patience. So... with frustrating level layouts, a poorly... poorly delivered plot, and Zero being his stupid "I'M BACK!!" self... X6 is easily the worse MegaMan game ever... still though, a MegaMan game is a MegaMan game, and even the thorns of a rose are still beautiful. MegaMan X6 will always keep a proud spot in my collection, and I still play it as often as I play other MegaMan games.

True, Danny, but I believe that X6 is the second worst game in the X series. I think that X5 is worse than X6. One of the things I hated about X5 is that I couldn't just go through the levels right away. I had to wait for the timer to go down a bit so I could get maximum stats. Even then, the stat boosts only affect either X or Zero, not both.
One thing that's a pet peeve in my book is not being able to get things unless I play the game again. I HATE having to start games over just to get everything! X6 was better at this than X5. You could get 5 chips for both X and Zero, and it kinda clouded over the health and energy item things.

Sorry to dig up an old post, but.... I almost cried when Zero came back in X6, and I NEVER cry. X6 was the hardest Megaman game for me to master so far (followed by Megaman 8).
All of the sudden I can't beat Magma Dragoon in the last level with Zero. Help!

Last level in X4. I've beaten that game and X5 and X6 lots of times before, but NOW I start having trouble. I'm like milk. I get worse as I age.
I can't even beat sonic 2 very easily any more.

let's see... Zero doesn't get any weapons when he beats a boss... but doesn't he get a power that when he punches the ground, energy blasts go out in like five direction? try using that and tell me if you be him.
