I just bought a Gameshark (version 5) for the PS1, and I tried to use it with MML2, and it works fine through the opening cutscene, but as soon as I try to start the game, it freezes. I've tried 5 times. Do you know how to make it work?

It's been a long time since I had a working Playstation to use my Gameshark on... The spindle flew off. I got a new one and hammered it on, but it's crooked and the discs scrape the bottom of the PS... What codes do you have turned on? You may have to experiment with them, turning one off at a time. Some combinations of codes just don't work, for some reason.

Off-topic, maybe, but I don't recommend that anyone use any sort of cheating/hacking device. You can't say you fairly beat the game if you had unofficial abilities/parts/weapons/items/money to help you through while other, more honest gamers spent hours of sweaty thumbs to get to the end. Cheating is cheating, and cheating is bad. If you're good enough to beat the game, you'll be able to beat the game. If you're NOT good enough, that's no excuse to use cheating devices - that's an excuse to TRAIN HARDER!
End of mini-rant. ;D
On an aside, I don't recommend using the PS1 for MML games. The PS2 joystick works much better than the PS1's joypad in 3-D games like MML2. Try it and see.

You CAN get a joystick controller for the PS1 and it's virtually the same.

You CAN get a joystick controller for the PS1 and it's virtually the same. News to me! (I never study up on Sony or Microsoft; me strictly Nintendo fan mostly. ;D) So you should know better than I would. I just always use our PS2 instead.

a gameshark is a disc that you put in your ps1 that allows you to go to areas you normaly could not go to a a gameshark could give you infinate ammo, infinate zenny, invincibility, a contiuous jump and change your model. these people think it messes up your game but mml2 want mess up unless you save as another character if you want to know more about a gameshark ask undergroundruin
