I was just looking at the old cut scenes and I've sort of been looking at a lot of things from my youth, games and stories that I liked a lot and I've been noticing a lot more hidden and symbolic meaning to them that I never quite did before and I was wondering in particular if anyone had any thoughts on the Megaman Legends franchise and what the potential symbolic meanings could be?
I find it interesting, the Master and supposedly how he was the last "real" living human being in existence at that time and the fact that Elysium acted as some sort of artificial safe guard over humanity and that the human beings on earth were "artificially" created and not original humans but yet had no idea of such a thing and obviously at some point civilization and the world was set back to a more simpler and original state of existence. (technologically at least)
With the "Carbon re-initialization" why did they want to lower the population and put new humans in place that were based on The Masters genetic codes? and, is this what the "Carbons" that already existed were based on?
Did the re-initialization" created the current situation on earth and is that what the program existed to do in the first place? to always "reset" the earth or planet if you will?
How did Elysium come to existing in the first place and why was The Master the last living human being alive?

here's some examples (it just sort of mirrors some of the story line in MMLs) And also I was thinking about Data; I think it's pretty interesting that Data was literally created to store Megaman's past memories and yet he is this little monkey robot thing. I think he symbolizes Megaman's real self in a way. It's the part of him that's most human, sort of? (because we're all animals in a way, not robots) As you can see, the figure in the painting resembles a Spinx and has eyes all over. This thing that's sent from space and Elysium, I'm not sure what it's supposed to do, Terraform the whole earth into a robotic planet? perhaps the Master gave up on human life? The eye looks very similair and I imagine was based off of the "eye of Horus" from ancient Egyptian religion.
