Srs bsns folks. I remember when MML3 was announced, everyone was like, "OH MAH GAWD NEW MEMBERS!" well nope. Everyone SIM left for the devroom, effectively leaving my favorite board in hibernation... Such a sad cruel twist of fate. *proceeds to wait 2 days for replies...*

That and MMLS is pulling members away, which may be true, but it's not doing any good by putting the blame on others.
Typhon has a new MML3 fan fic in the fan media forum so why not give it a read and review.

I haven't left, it's just that no one else is posting.
I don't have much to say above fanfics though, because I don't read them.
I also don't plug MLU because that's just spam.... and I'm annoyed how shamelessly the MLS members plug their site, too (either subtely or blatently). All I do is put the link in my sig and let it be.
It also doesn't help that MLS at least updates its main site at least once in a blue moon and has a lot more resources, like a list of all the Reaverbots and stuff. I've lost track of SD lately.....

I'm still around and lurking. I'm also kinda glad I'm not the only one who noticed the lack of posts. I'm not entirely sure how to cheer things up, but I've also been wondering about SD as well. Guess all I can say is that I share a fraction of the pain, seeing as how I'm still... new, and Exo's an old skool member.

I'm pretty much with SIM on this. I can't post if no one else is.
And yeah, as much as I loathe that other board, their site is probably the best MML resource around. And it looks pretty too. Our circa 1995 website can't really compete...

Come to think of it, what is this board's general stance towards fan works? Sim clearly stated that he doesn't read fan fics. And silence seems to be the typical response to someone posting something they made that's Legends-related. There's no need to think too far back for examples since it's been a while since I've seen Anima around whom used to post quite avidly. Is it because fan works are usually lame, uninteresting, too individual for group discussion, or maybe all three in addition to other reasons?

It is really ironic that after all this time the one thing that would bring this board back from the brink is what is totally being ignored. But I'm not totally sure on that one yet either. To be honest, this time period where we KNOW there is a legends 3 and when it comes out is not that different from when we didn't. I would be surprised if after the game was released we didn't see an upswing in posts and new members. I think all we are really doing right now is waiting for something to actually happen I bet money that when it actually does come out, alot more people will post and I know for sure that SD will come back and say how much he loved/hated it, so don't write him off either. It's just more waiting, and even the good news of it existing doesn't change much, because we have exhausted every possible thread about it and what too expect
That ties in with fan tics too. I'm a little sad that it isn't garnering much attention on these boards, but fanfiction is fun to read no matter what. The stance of the boards used to be slot better, when everyone did it, or RPed, but unless you really love the story, and not just the games, then people don't read them. I'm sad sim doesn't read fan fiction either, but whatever. When we find out I was right about everything and I wrote it before capcom did, then we will see who is laughing hahahahaha jkjkjk
So no, mml3 is not killing these boards. The wait is. But who cares? We've been waiting ten years as it is, nothing new there...
Oh and I saw the board with Exo. Sorry 42, I didn't know you guys were like, feuding or whatever. I don't really know what it was about, and I don't wanna bring it up. It's just sad.
And cere. You rock. Lol
And Mikey.... Read my freaking story already!!!! Hahaha im gonna keep working on the next chapter. MvC 3 is eating my soul right now though hahaha
Edit: sorry about the spelling and grammar that I'm sure made me sound like an idiot. Typing on my phone is hard hahaha

I pretty much left and wasn't posting for these reasons.
1. It seemed like all I did was bug people/ never really quite fit in
2. I had no interest in MML3 due to it being for a system I don't have
3. My computer use is limited due to a medical problem that's cropped up in my arms (wrists and hands) of which I'm still trying to correct.

Regardless of whether reason 1 is actually true or not, it's nice to see you again. And hope you get better soon.
I'm content as long as this board exists to keep members like us connected regardless of whether we post frequently or only once a while.

Wanna know something I've noticed? We regularly have 100+ guests who take a look around here.
The unfortunate thing is that no one joins and posts.
However, I still don't believe in begging for them to join or anything. I still stand by the fact that it should be their choice if they want to join.

Thanks Cere I really hope so too!
Sim has a point, it also doesn't help when people quit or are gone for a long time (like yours truly) but again that's there choice.
Maybe if we knew what everyone has in common (Interests) other than SOLELY MML (not that we shouldn't be talking about MML) we'd have more to talk about and others could join in as well?
