An old RP I tried to get active a long time ago. I had little to no skills at the time. But as I got older, I started to improve my skills, and thus, I'll once again try to bring this to life for real. Anyways, shutting up, and onto the story: The Mono Islands. A group of mysterious islands set far in the middle of a very large sea. Unexplored and untouched by humans for many generations, it has become a basis of folklore and legend. But now, a group of diggers from a far away city, step foot onto this place of legend and mystery, and unearth what lies beneath the surface.
Will there be treasure?
Or will there be doom?
The only way to really know for sure, is to find out for themselves. The five main islands (Added music of how I would think would fit): Harmony Islet: The Harmony ruins, 2 floors Mika Islet: The Mika ruins, 4 floors Ramay Islet: The Ramay ruins, 5 floors Amethyst Islet: The Amethyst ruins, 8 floors Centria Islet: NOTICE, you need the 4 card keys from all four islets to gain entrance. This is where the main 'treasure' is held. The Centria ruins, 10 floors The characters: Like the M.L.U. City RP, you will be RPing as yourself. But remember to follow the rules to RP as well. I don't want to go and lock this topic because of any flame wars going on, please. Minor characters and the sky pirates are allowed as well. Okay, I got that down and settled, I now pray and hope this will go live.

"What do you make of this?" Mikey was asking.
"I don't know. but we can't stay airborne for much longer. We need to find an island to set down on so I can figure out what the problem is. We're either running out of fuel, or the engine needs to be tuned up." replied Anima, not taking her eye off of the windshield.
"Gauges and readings show that fuel is at 20%, and that engine performance is dwindling." alerted REI, as he floated in front of the computer.
"That's just as I thought. Hurry up Mikey, find out where the nearest island is before we wind up taking a swim... if you'll please." she said, beginning to let off the thrust.
Mikey sighed and began drawing circles with the compass on the map at his desk on the opposite side of the pilot room, and arrived to a conclusion.
"It seems the closest island is part of a group, and they've been named but are currently uninhabited and unexplored by humans." he stated, as he studied the map a little more closely to be sure.
"Really? what's the name of the closest island?" she asked, her eyes twinkling from this news.
"It's called... the "Harmony" islet. Currently it's... 75 degrees and 7 minutes southeast, and it's the northwestern island of the group." He replied, still writing down coordinates with the compass' pencil.
"Gotcha," she replied, as she gave the steering wheel a good spin to the left. Suddenly, the entire ship shook and there was a loud blasting sound, and all three of them winced at the sudden event. REI quickly floated from the computer up to the radar.
"Unidentified aircraft approaching at high speeds, Mistress Anima, what are your orders?!" REI said, as he put his hands over his head and began shaking a little.

(( Nah man, it's cool. ))
"Mikey, go see who's trying to give us a rude nudge!" She said. "REI, keep an eye out for the islet!"
"Roger!" Both said, Mikey rushing to the top decks, while REI kept an eye out from the windsheild.
"I don't know who or what it is, but it's a high bet they may be Sky Pirates..." She said to herself.
"S-Sky Pirates??" REI asked shakily.

Upon reaching the deck, Mikey was greeted by an unpleasant volley of blaster shots from the assailant, which continued to almost literally fly circles around their ship. Whatever the attacker planned on doing, they didn't seem to causing enough damage to blow the engines. Mikey looked at the nearby glass case in the cargo hold, and the old scoped powered buster was sitting right there... untouched for quite a while.
Meanwhile, back in the pilot room, Anima was trying to calmly fly the ship towards the Harmony islet, but the constant bombardment of shots was wrecking the flight pattern.
"Ugh, at this rate we're never going to reach the islet! Hold on REI, I'm gonna give her some thrust." warned Anima, as she picked up the radio.
"Mikey, make sure you're inside within the next half minute, I'm going to try and thrust us closer to the islet." announced Anima.
Upon hearing the announcement, Mikey toke the old SPB from the case, and scrambled on top of the hatch; and began scoping out the enemy. Looking through the scope showed that age seemed to have very little effect on the scope itself, unlike the rest of the buster. Mikey anticipated the foe's next movement, then fired in the correct direction. As he did this, the buster exploded, injuring him in the process. The [now charred] sapphire-blue scope began rolling towards the edge of the railing.
"CRAP! NO!" he yelled, scrambling forward and grabbing the scope just as it began to fall off the edge. Mikey then looked back where he fired.
The shot traveled just as fast and as far as always, and hit its mark, with pretty explosive results. The assailant certainly toke a beating from a single shot, and they were damaged enough to be unable to catch up if Anima were to thrust. Knowing there was no time left to return to the hatch, Mikey held onto the railing and braced himself for the lurch.
"Half a minute is up, it's time to give this baby some gas!" declared Anima, grabbing a switch and yanking it much further up. The ship began gaining momentum, and eventually reached max speed, flying away from the enemy vessel. REI moved back over to the computer.
"At this rate, the engine is burning about 1%'s worth of fuel per minute... The economy is terrible!" declared REI, putting his hands over his eyes.
"Oh REI, don't worry about that, where we're going, there IS no econonmy!" laughed Anima.
(( ...yeah I dunno.))
Back up on deck, Mikey was experiencing the ride of a lifetime, but despite the fun and games, he clearly knew that Anima thought he was back in the ship, so once again, smacking fear in the face, and looking death straight in the eye, he began crawling rather slowly back to the hatch, and lowered himself back into the cargo hold, then made his way back to the pilot's room, still clutching the scope.
"Radar shows that the unidentified aircraft is far out of firing range." said REI, continuing to monitor the Radar and computer both at once. The door opened and Mikey stepped in. Anima toke her eyes off the windshield for a split second and saw Mikey, her eyes moved from the scope in his hand back to his face.
"Dude, why is there ash on you, and what happened to your hair? O.o" she asked.
"Oh, just a little wind up top, and a few bullets being fired, nothing too bad..." I replied, turning a little red.
"You stayed up there while I performed the burn, didn't you? How many times do I have to tell you that's a completely stupid thing to do?" she asked, giving him a slight nudge, as he was close enough, "and what about the ash?"
"Oh, the old scoped powered buster blew up as I fired the last shot, and I nearly lost the scope. It was going to roll off the deck, and I had scrambled over to save it. I didn't have enough time to get back to the hatch, so I stayed at the railing as the ship gained momentum." explained Mikey.
"Mmm hmm... what did that ship look like?" asked Anima.
"Y'know? I've done already forgotten." replied Mikey, tapping his foot with his arms crossed.
"Perhaps I should 'reprogram' your short term memory so you remember things better," joked Anima, "but at any rate, we should be arriving at the islet any moment. We'll have about 12.5% fuel left for island hopping, but I only hope there's enough organic materials to make the correct grade of fuel we need..." she finished. ________________

"Alot of big words," Mikey said, scratching the back of his head. "but I hope that'll be good news..."
"Land up ahead!" REI said, seeing the island approaching fast.
"Alright, I'm going to find a safe place to land. Once we're there, me and REI'll start looking for the correct materials to find fuel." Anima said, as she saw the island get bigger through the windshield inch by inch.
Later, Anima had found a good landing spot, and set the ship down there. As soon as they were situated, she went to go see what damage was caused by the 'unidentified aircraft'.
"There's not enough damage for any serious problems. However, they managed to damage the refractor enough that caused our engined to die quickly as we landed..." She said, holding up a dull and cracked red refractor.
"Great, that means we're stuck on this place!" Mikey said, apparently annoyed.
"I don't think that'll be a problem." REI said, looking at the outside surroundings. "Even though not inhabited, the islands seem to be connected by bridges of sorts. All except the centre islet. How peculiar..."

Looking back at the map, Mikey began saying the names, one by one.
"Harmony, Mika, Ramay, Amethyst, and Centria... It sounds almost like a spell, but it's a strangely familiar set up. 4 sub gates, one main gate." he said, still studying the map.
"Well, it certainly sounds promising enough, we'll be able to gather money, possibly fix the ship with spare parts, and be out of here before we know it!" her eyes sparkling again.
"Miss Anima, sometimes you worry me with your love of treasure..." REI replied, tapping his hands together.
"Well, I would suggest heading to the Harmony Ruins, as they're the closest, but we don't have any weapons for what's waiting for us... The poor PB, I had used it too long without tuning it up and stored it in a glass case to age, I don't blame it for exploding," Mikey added, still rubbing his slightly burned cheek.
"That is correct, it's likely that the ruins are filled with spare parts, but entering without some form of buster to begin with is asking for trouble." added REI.
"There could be some more old weapons in the cargo hold, or in some of the rooms, but this is the first time I've ridden in a ship period... and we wind up in a near-death experience. It's a real shame..." replied Mikey.

"Still, I wonder who tried to attack us...?" REI pondered abit to himself.
"How strange..." Anima said, as she began to climb off the ship via. the extendable ladder. "I have never been here before, yet... I feel as if I'm at home..."
"Well, you said you never had a home, right?" Asked Mikey.
"Yes, correct." She said. "In fact, I don't remember a thing about where my home was. It's possible I may have been kidnapped, and was given amnesia."

"You feel like you're home here, in The Mono Island System?" asked Mikey from above, still doing a little bit of last-minute locking up, then proceeded to slide down the ladder.
"Yes, have you ever had the feeling of Deja Vu?" she replied, beginning to raise her arms into the air and take deep breaths.
"A few times in my life, sure..." Mikey replied, reaching the bottom and proceeding to catch up to Anima and REI, who had reached the edge of the water.
"Harmony... The Beach Islet..." Anima was muttering, as she touched the water.
"Miss Anima, the radar is detecting activity underground, but it's minor. There seem to be a few reaverbots throughout this system of islands, and all of us are unarmed, how do you propose we should proceed?" asked REI.
"For now, I suggest staying together and trying to find some fuel materials so we can at least get from one island to another without having to run... then the refractor will be on the 'to-do' list." answered Anima.
"Hmm. I think I'm going to head over to the ruins, actually." Mikey said, as he began walking to the nearby entrance.
"You sure about that?" called Anima.
"I'm sure it'll be fine. Hopefully since this island seems to be the most peaceful, there will just be plenty of parts lying around to make a nice weapon... preferably one that can use this scope." he replied, as he opened the doors to the ruins and went down the elevator.

"Well, good luck." Anima said as she saw him go down the elevator. "Don't let any Horrokko's get the better of you." She giggled to herself.
REI was already scanning the flora of the islet. it was small, but not small enough. To a human's perspective, it was roughly the size of Calbania island. "Miss Anima, do you mind helping me find the designated materials?"
"Oh, yes of course." She said, catching up with REI to help him gather the right materials.
A few times, she looked at the sky. The attack from the unknown ship from earlier still baffled her. Who was it? Sky Pirates? Possibly, if they're that aggressive, or just want to slow us down. Rouges or mercenaries? No. A reaverbot? Not likely, it would've destroyed us by now.
Her thoughts were cut off when she head something emerge from the ground, and turned around to see a line of Jakkos pop up. "Duck REI." She said calmly, ducking to the ground. REI took note of this, and too got down onto the ground. The Jakkos soon passed by, and went back into the ground.
"It seems that not only there are reaverbot activity underground, but above ground as well." REI said. "We best be careful."
"Maybe we should worry 'bout that later." She said, looking up at the sky again, seeing what almost looked like a ship on the horizon. "I think we got company..."

Upon entering the ruins, it was clear that it was a small and playful ruin, as there were mostly just a few scattered Horokkos. There seemed to be plenty of holes in the walls as well. Mikey knew there was tons of parts and treasures to be had, but he was still completely unarmed, and kicking Zakobuns, although easy and fun, wasn't going to work on several other reaverbots that he well knew could have been hiding within the other islands. Despite the major annoyances he was clearly going to have to face, he pushed forward and toke out what was in the first hole – a standard buster gun.
“Well, that certainly was luck…” he muttered to himself, attaching it to his left arm. He began shooting the Horokkos and sweeping up the zenny they dropped. The room was empty except for two holes, in which Mikey found 5,000 zenny (bringing him to a total of 5500) and a strange green eye… incredible. Just in the first room of Harmony ruins, there was a material to make an overpowered weapon, and a standard buster gun. Are things supposed to be harder from here on out? Things were just too easy for the start…
Mikey continued through the first set of unlocked doors, and suddenly realized a spotter for future ruins would definitely be a good idea rather than trying to transverse ruins by himself. No matter for now… The next few corridors were filled with the standard Horokkos, and Taburus. The buster, although the most standard with no power-ups, was doing quite well with handling these reaverbots, saving Mikey a whole lot of dodging he would be doing otherwise. Finally reaching the end of the 3rd turn, Mikey had entered a small room, which was empty except for a lone servbot. The servbot was pacing, and seemed troubled by something. When Mikey walked forward, the servbot saw him. The servbot was clearly unique. It had a strange symbol on its forehead, and it's cap was a familiar color... Where had Mikey seen it? “Oh! Who are you?” asked the servbot.
“The name’s Mikey… do you have a name?”
“I was given a specific name by someone I have been looking for… She disappeared one day and I haven’t seen her since!” his eyes were full of tears.
“Easy, easy, don’t worry. Why don’t you start by telling me your name?”
“The name she gave me was Charm…” he replied.
“Charm? Is that some kind of abbreviation?” Mikey asked.
“Yes, she loved the name because it was a lovely anagram to help her remember the island’s names when she was young…” replied Charm.
Meanwhile…
“Kekekekekeke! We nearly got them, but that buster shot really put a dent in our hull! Keke!” squawked the leader birdbot.
“We’ll get them the next time they try to fly! We were told to keep them on that island system by-“ began another with a gruff voice.
“Shut up!” shouted a third (with the highest pitch in voice), “don’t talk about our plans! We already know what they are and every detail! Keheke!”
“Did you just tell a superior to shut up?!” screamed the 2nd.
“Better be careful #2, your ‘stupid’ is showing!” was the reply, and the entire cabin burst out with laughter.
“I believe Mistress Anima has spotted us yet again.” A lower-rank birdbot (who hadn’t laughed) calmly squawked. “retreating into the clouds now.” This seemed adequate to break up the fighting and laughing, as the birdbot eased the ship higher into the sky…

Anima watched the ship retreat into the clouds. "Something's up..." She muttered to herself.
"I must agree." REI nodded. "You may be right if they are sky pirates. But what would they be doing here? These islands have been abandoned for many years... not only that, what would they want with us?"
"Who knows..." She said, thinking to herself. "I wonder how Mikey is doing, his expedition in the ruins here?"
"Scans indicate that he is on the first floor still." REI said. "perhaps I can act as his spotter?"
She nodded. "Do it."
With that, REI put a hand up next to his 'ear' "Mikey, can you hear me?" He continued to establish a communication connection to Mikey, while Anima continued to gather supplies for fuel.
She looked up at where the ship dissapeared. It looked like it was gone now. They way it was modeled... could it have been...?

"So, you're a Servbot named Charm, looking for someone in the Harmony Ruins?" Mikey asked, still confused about the matter.
"That's correct, and it's been several years until I got the courage to check inside the ruins!" sobbed Charm.
"YEARS? My goodness, robots these days..." replied Mikey, astounded.
[Mikey, can you hear me?] REI asked over the radio.
"Hmm? REI? Good to see you've found me." laughed Mikey. Charm watched solemnly, unable to hear REI.
[Scans are showing a small energy from nearby. Is someone in there with you?] REI asked.
"Actually yes, there's a Servbot here named Charm... he says he was looking for someone that disappeared several years ago. Anyway, I'm going to take him with me, he might be able to help on this expedition." replied Mikey.
[All right, now that I have a lock on you, I'll be doing passive scanning of the floor you're on as you dig. Could be useful, having a spotter.]
"Let's go Charm. You're with me now." insisted Mikey.
"Yay! Maybe we'll both find what we're looking for down here!" Charm exclaimed, the tears dissapeared as quickly as they had come, and he was ready to continue exploration with Mikey.
Heading through the only other door in the room, the corridor looked much different than the previous, instead of grey, the walls, ceiling, and floor looked white-washed with sand. A few Fingeriis and Frongels stood and hopped along the area.
“This place is starting to get more and more challenging… as well as false comforting with the scenery…” noted Mikey, as he readied the buster, not knowing how much it could help.
“Oh please don’t be negative! You’re already beginning to worry me!” cried Charm, as he hugged Mikey’s leg. Mikey gave him half a smile before running into battle.

"I'd be careful about the next floor, Mikey." REI said, still communicating over the radio. "You're not even there yet, but I'm picking some pretty strong readings. I think it's a large reaverbot."
[G-t i-.] Mikey said, it was apparent that the communication was beginning to weaken.
"Huh? Mikey? Can you hear me? The communication's beginning to beak up!" REI tried a few times more, but all he got now was static. "Damn... the signal's going weak..."
"Is the reaverbot below causing the interference?" Anima asked, having gathered all the materials needed.
"No, it is a large one, but not enough to cause interference." He said, tapping the side of his head. "Something must be blocking out all our communications."
"But what?" She asked.
Almost as if out of the blue, what felt like a strong gust of wind swept over the two. Anima grabbed REI to prevent him from being swept away.

"These reaverbots are getting rather feisty..." grunted Mikey, dodging hugs from Frongels and energy balls from Fingeriis. It was getting pretty difficult; the sand wasn't helping at all.
"You're doing great! Make your way over here, the door's unlocked!" Called Charm, at the opposite door.
Mikey dashed through the doorway into a seemingly empty corridor. The floor wasn't as sandy in this area. The elevator to the bottom floor stood within a hollow at the end of the corridor.
[I'd be careful about the next floor, Mikey.] REI said, still communicating over the radio. [You're not even there yet, but I'm picking some pretty strong readings. I think it's a large reaverbot.]
"Got it!" replied Mikey
[H--? Mi--y? -an you -ear me? The com---i---ion's begi---n- -- br--k --!......]
"Well that can't be good..." sighed Mikey.
"Don't worry! Don't worry!" Charm said, "being with you gives me courage and strength! I'll help you face whatever's on the bottom floor!"
"Lets see... She told me about the Harmony Islet the most... There were definitely only two floors, and the boss on the bottom floor she described as one needing... 'great agility and strategic planning to defeat.' She also mentioned that it was next to impossible without two people!" added Charm.
"I guess we'll have to see what the layout is like then worry about defeating the reaverbot then." sighed Mikey, stepping onto the elevator.
"We'll do great! Never give up!" exclaimed Charm, climbing onto the elevator as well.
Mikey pressed the button and the elevator began sinking into the sandy floor.
(( I has no clue what's going on up top and I has no intention of ruining it ))
The design of the scenery turned back into the ominous grey as the elevator sank deeper into the ground. The only real significance of the sandy area was the difficulty of movement. The elevator stopped on the bottom floor light as a feather.
"Okay what have we got here...? The boss isn't in sight, but that can be fixed by taking whatever's at the end of the room..." muttered Mikey.
“Let’s analyze our surroundings and options.” Suggested Charm, beginning to walk towards the other side of the room.
“It looks like there’s plenty of traps, including fire traps, ceiling spike traps, and electricity traps.” Noted Charm, as he pointed to the small notches coming out of the floor to signify fire traps, spiky tiles on the ceiling and indentions on the floor to signify spike traps, and water puddles to signify electricity traps.
“Look! It’s an orange refractor!” exclaimed Mikey. Sure enough, there it was, next to a hollow in the wall. The refractor was shielded, but the hollow was not.
“Hmm… There’s a control panel hidden behind the refractor! It has three buttons, and each one is a different color!” exclaimed Charm.
“Press a button, see what it does.” Replied Mikey, as he examined the hollow in the wall. Upon pushing the brown button, the ceiling spikes throughout the room dropped instantly with a loud CLANG then rose back to the ceiling, scaring the heck outta Charm and Mikey.
“Let me guess, is there also a red and blue button on the panel?” Asked Mikey.
“That’s right! That’s Right!” replied Charm, “how did you know?”
“I’d call it a lucky dose of common sense and assumption.” Replied Mikey, reaching into the dark hollow. It wasn’t a very deep hollow, but the light didn’t make it clear as to what was inside. He pulled out a sandy-yellow keycard.
“Well that’s pretty interesting… I wonder-“ he started.
But, a deep rumbling had stopped him from finishing, a HUGE frongel fell from the ceiling and stuck the landing right in the middle of the room.
(I'd be posting more often but thinking of a good boss battle takes a little bit of time... and a little bit of reference from the Sly Cooper series as well. ;D)

Anima looked up, looks like whatever caused that gust of wind is gone now. "What waas that...?" "I'm not sure." REI replied. "Whether it was the force of nature or an artificially created one, I must admit, it was a close one." "Try and see if you can re-establish a connection?" She said. He nodded, and once again put a hand to his 'ear'. "Mikey? Mikey answer me! Are you still there?" Anima turned to see that the supplies she gathered were swept away by the wind. "Oh no!!" Urgh... dammit, where's the nearest island to land on?! A young girl thought to herself. She was on some sort of floating rubber raft. I've been out here for days! I'm getting hungry too...But she then caught a glimpse of something in the distance, a ship of sorts, a flying ship. Looks like it was landed too. A ship... Oh! PEOPLE! Thank you great saviour!! She then jumped into the waters and started swimming her way to the shore, the rubber raft in tow in her left hand. Once she had reached the shores, she saw what looked like a young girl and a modified reaverbot wandering around, as if looking for something. "Now who's that...?" She asked herself. But her attention was cut short to what sounded like mechanical feet. She could see what was a red colored Juuraid approaching, right for the girl and her altered Miitan. "HEY, WATCH OUT!!" (( And in case you're wondering, this is the girl on the raft. ))
