I'm trying one of the oldest threads I've ever made here again, and this time I'm making use of the new Proboards feature. The lucky owners of the PC version of MML1 got something else in the package. They were given a website which they could download a MML desktop theme. Obviously I've been using it for years but I never owned the PC version. Thankfully, though, you didn't need to own the PC version but you still needed to know what the web address was. Anyways I'll see how well it attaches to this post. You need a ZIP file extraction tool, obviously, but then you should be able to use it as a desktop theme afterwards. Go here, scroll down, and download HJ Split: www.freebyte.com/hjsplit/This is a freeware program that allows you to break up large files so you can post them on the net. I've split the 4.8 MB file into six parts since Proboards has a 1 MB limit. Make sure all 6 parts are downloaded to the same folder and use HJ Split to recombine them. HJ Split will recognize that there are 6 parts total and combine all of them back to the original file. Afterwards, you can unzip it and use it as a desktop theme. The file itself is marked as an application and it's a self-extracting ZIP file but you don't need a ZIP extracting program to unpack it. Attachments:

Uhng... Needless to say. A theme file written for Windows 98-95 doesn't work very well with with Windows 7. I'm going to try and re-organize them to work with new versions of windows.
EDIT: I got it to kind of work. The sounds, cursor, desktop, and icon work. I couldn't get the startup-shutdown screen to work at all though.

I think the theme simply adds a blue tinge to them. I think the theme was fully installed on my system, I haven't checked any sounds yet because... I'm still in school. lol Here's a little screenie I toke in case you want to see. I don't think anything personal is in it... except the fact that my background's a picture of Eevee and Pikachu. >.> Heh... seems to have a bit of an old-world charm as well. Brings back memories of the old e-machine before it completely died. edit: this is a version of XP, but I'm not sure as to which. It's a 4 year old laptop. lol another edit: heard the minimize + restore and opening/closing program sounds. Can kicking and menu browsing sounds in game. its awesome. lol
