read here first. In this thread we are RPing as none-other than ourselves. Add onto the story from your point of view. I look up out of the window in my cell and see papers fluttering down from the sky. I can scarcely make out the words "Megaman legends 3" on the papers. I rub my eyes and think "Surely I must be dreaming...". Not long after glancing the papers I hear the clinking of keys and tap-tap footsteps walking down the bleak gray jail hall. One of the oldest and sole residents of the now desolate city, a man known only as 42, walked down the jail hallway and unlocked my cell saying "Exo, we want your help in rebuilding our city, big changes are about to happen". I asked him; "My eyes did not decieve me?" He replied: "You saw the truth." I cried a little and looked up at him through my tears and said: "I thought this would never happen" I wiped the tears off of my face and said: "well, lets get to work". He nodded and while we walked out of the rusty jail he briefed me on exactly what had happened and what to prepare for. When we reached the exit I shielded my eyes against the blinding sun-light in the shining into the dusty ghost town. Once my eyes adjusted I looked around and saw those who had departed into the wide frontier now returned and cleaning up the town. The mayor himself was even there supervising the cleanup project. Squinting my eyes I saw familiar faces cleaning up and repairing the buildings of businesses like "The ultimate youtube tavern" and "Pooding general". I saw children in the streets playing old familiar games like "three-word-stories" or "who would win in a fight". I felt as though I was dreaming...

"It's amazing, isn't it, exo?" I welcomed him back with a handshake. "I never thought this day would come, but here it is."
I looked up at the building that formerly said "G N R L", the sign had been repaired to say "GENERAL". Countless memories flooded back into my head of the countless conversations we had in that very building. Debates, voting, almost anything we wanted to talk about was there.
A few other members were fixing up the new members welcoming both, and I decided to lend a hand.

I entered the General building, a complete stranger, and everybody stopped what they were doing and one by one, each gave me a warm smile. I walked over to the welcoming booth, and submitted a bio-post then began to look around.
There were so many topics and posts that the building could be considered a library. Most of the topics were charred, and others were completely mutilated. But, at the very tip top was the ToS. Old as it was, it was perfectly preserved and framed for all to see.
So much had happened during my travels, but nothing was as significant as entering such a domain that had memories of my own stirring while skimming through the memories of others. I almost felt like I didn't belong...

As I watch Purifier and Exo filter into the crowd to go about their own devices, I can’t help but marvel at how the announcement and just a few small bits of information have invigorated the remaining locals. Just a few weeks ago we were still living on rumors and hope, but now we have a purpose. A new day is dawning and M.L.U. is already rising from the ashes to greet it.
But where to begin? For such a small city, M.L.U. has a rich history that now seems like the ancient past. The many grand structures that once housed great debates we are now empty and falling apart. It will be a long time before they are brought back to their former glory. There is hope, though: A new tower dominates the skyline, a center dedicated to the coming Third Era. It bustles with activity that gives everyone hope that the city may soon recover.
I wander off to find Solid Snake. My confidant in M.L.U. and places foreign, I make it my business to know his business.

I sat in a chair, passed out from the exhaustion of the recent reconstruction work on M.L.U. 42 walked over to me and kicked me in the shin. "Ow! What'd you do that for?" I questioned, staring at 42 half awake. "Get back to work! We still have much to do to prepare for the new travelers!" 42 ordered. "Fine, fine... You could have woken me up a little more gently, though..." I mumbled as I walked along with 42 to find work.

I laughed. "I could have, but pain makes you so lively!" I suppressed a chuckle as a sour look look appeared on his face.
"I just released Exo. I think he went with Purifier, but I could be wrong." I said. Snake raised an eyebrow but said nothing. When I failed to comment further he let it go, probably assuming that all had been forgiven. He was right.
"So what have you been doing to fix this place up?" he asked, already knowing the answer.
"Oh, you know, this and that." I said quickly and dismissively. It was his turn to suppress a smile now. "Hey, I let Exo out!" I snapped.
"So he could do the work that you're putting off?"
"I won't dignify that accusation with a response." I said tersely, looking in another direction to avoid his damned smug gaze. He laughed after awhile of this and I couldn't keep myself from smiling. "Actually," I said, remembering why I wanted to talk to him in the first place, "I have been keeping an eye on something strange lately."
Snake stopped walking, bothered by my suddenly serious tone. "Oh?"
"Yeah," I said, "I've been noticing some graffiti appearing around the city. On the General and Other Games buildings. They were both advertising free movies or something like that and they both had different signatures. I think we have some unwelcome individuals in the city. It doesn't seem to be anything to serious right now, but I think it's something we should definitely keep an eye on the situation. We've had some malcontents in the past, but this seems worse somehow. I'm going to keep searching for any other clues that could reveal who these people are and why they're here. If you get the chance, ask some of the newer citizens if they know anything, alright?"
"Sure." he said, looking uneasy. Whether it was from the sudden responsibility I had given him or the revelation that something strange was going on in MLU, I wasn't sure. "But where should I start?" he asked.
I though for a moment. "Try that mikey guy. I know he's been poking around the city's archives, which seems unusual for a newcomer." Snake nodded. After this the mood lightened and we made some more small talk. Soon Snake found some project that needed his attention and we parted ways. I continued on, hoping that this issue would soon be resolved.

OOC:
I'm probably not gonna be too active in the RP if at all. However, I've deleted those spammer posts mentioned above. Hopefully, it's not a Proboards default to put those ads in new member sigs, but considering how they were speaking in broken english, I have a feeling that they're not here for Legends nor here on friendly terms.
Just don't click on the links in their sigs because you may get hit by some bad programs/viruses/etc. because I'm thinking the sites in their sigs will have trojans/spyware/malware/etc so don't go there.

I know, but we need something to drive this thing's story. It's an RP, so I figured a few liberties could taken.

Checking in as usual, the first sweep of the city revealed nothing in need of attention, except the fact that Snake was waiting outside the General building, obviously looking for me. I approached and greeted him. "It's good to see you here, how are you enjoying the city?" asked Snake. "It's got quite a bit of content around, everybody's friendly, and I've also noticed that this city has been in existence for quite some time." I replied. "So, have you noticed the blemishes that the recent vandals have put up around a few buildings?" inquired Snake. "I have, and I think it's completely despicable. I happened to join unknowingly right as the big news came out, and people like that give people like me a bad name." I replied. "Me and Servbot42 have been observing your enthusiasm as well. What do you think about the city's history?" There was a tiny change the mood as he said this. "The general building is indefinitely the foundation for the members. It holds the most posts and topics, and it also shows quite a bit about past members, and it also uncovers a bit about their personality. So many past members need to return, they looked to be really awesome people, who contributed too much to the board to leave after so many of the unfortunate inactivity spikes I've also observed." I replied I noticed that my link was becoming weaker as the battery was growing ever lower. "It was nice to hear your thoughts, mikey. We would also enjoy having your help to make the newer members feel welcome as well." said Snake. "Don't mention it. It appears that Sim got finished repainting the buildings as we were chatting. Take a look!" I pointed. The General building had a fresh coat of blue, and a notice about the vandals. He was very intent on working behind the scenes, but I knew he was doing an excellent job at it. "With that, I must go. My battery's nearly dead." I stated. "No problem." He gave a thumbs up "MMLU" "MMLU and MML3! " was my reply as I left before being ejected by the battery.

A week and a half goes by. The city is filled with anxiety and sadness, many servbots are outraged, and some are sad. I approached the General building and toke yet another look at the latest news headline... Our Master, our creator, had left the mafia in charge on the planet Capcopia. Keiji Inafune was his name.
The announcement thread concerning the next generation, the third year, had quickly faded from Blue to grey. The people of Capcopia had banished the Master of the system, for unknown reasons, but Keiji knew one thing. He was determined to leave Capcopia forever. Where was he going? what were his motives? what REALLY happened on Capcopia? There's too many unanswered questions. We can't stop him; that much is certain.
The city itself was reacting violently to this development, and I could feel the incoming Earthquake. Its goal wasn't to hurt any of the people, but to instead awaken the evil reaverbots from deep under the city's grounds. The city's roadways and sidewalks quickly turned grey and cracked, reaverbot after reaverbot popping up out of the ground.
The buildings, especially the General building, were still the beautiful dark blue they had always been. The MML3 building actually shined the brightest for some reason. Translucent Shields had appeared around every building. Everybody outside had run through the shield into the General lobby; and every unit was apprehensive at what was going to happen.
Could they fight? should they fight? What did the reaverbots represent? Did they foreshadow the horrible disaster that was soon to happen? had it already happened? Did they represent the anger and sadness every unit was feeling? Whatever the case, all of the smaller ones headed out for the smaller buildings, just as several elephants (Mammu) lined up to start pounding the General Building's shield.
________ (added in the name of the reaverbot "elephants", that was driving me crazy.)

"Aw dammit!" I exclaimed, fearing the onslaught of Reaverbots approaching the General building. "This can't mean anything good... we didn't have a chance to install gun emplacements to defend against any chance of attack.... And I'm not sure how long these shields will hold..." I looked around... We could very well be screwed... we had no significant weapons to damage them with....
"We'll have to make improvised weapons." Snake growled.
"How?" I pondered.

"It's quite simple. Just take a few scraps from here and there, like this pen light and this toy sword and... Voila! An energy sword!"
"Looks like we'll need more scrap, then..." Purifier commented.
"You'll need more people to gather more scrap. Remember that there's strength in numbers; now get to it! I'll hold down the fort!" I ordered, running into another room.

"Ok... spare parts... spare parts... Ah!" I shouted excitedly. A vacuum cleaner laid on the ground before me. "This should have some use to me..." I tried to test it to see if it worked...
Sure enough the motor was burnt out.
"Dammit. I need a new motor." I scoured the General building's unused rooms for a motor. Any sort of motor to get the thing working again. Sure enough, there was one in an old Drill Machine that we used to use to expand the General building underground...
42 was in the basement with me as well, he saw me take the motor out of the Drill for the vacuum. "What are you gonna do with that vacuum?! Clean the floors before those things come in here and kill us all?! Wouldn't it make sense to use the drill for as a weapon?!" "Oh shoot... You're right!" I put the motor back in the drill machine, discarding the vacuum. I used parts from the body part to create an arm mount for the drill.
"Good work, Purifier!" he exclaimed. "Now hand that over. If I had let you continue with that vacuum business, we'd be hamburger meat later on!"
"But I built it..." I groaned... Without hesitation, I gave the drill to him.
"Alright! It's up to you to find your own weapon now! I'm gonna join Snake upstairs!" 42 quickly ran up the steps.
I continued looking for scraps everywhere in the basement. Lots of parts to make weapons, but nothing that matched up to create a devastating weapon.
I heard a revving noise from behind me. I turned my head, catching a glimpse of a dim red eye passing by. The light stopped and faced me. A telltale "BEE-BEEP" was let out from it's direction. It was approaching me slowly.
One of them made it underground, and I was unarmed...

*grr* *grr* *grr* the ground shook violently and knocked me off of my ladder.
Once I managed to get up I saw a swarm of various reaverbots raiding the town through a fissure in the ground. They were focusing on the general building across the street.
I squinted my eyes and saw 42 and Snake holding them with makeshift weapons while Purifier and Mikey crawled about looking for parts. "An invasion, why now of all times?!"
My gazing was interrupted by the clank-clank-clank of an approaching Sharukurusu. It's walking quickly sped up in to a dreadful sprint.
I desperately looked around the building for something to fight with but I couldn't find anything in time. I glance hopelessly back at my attacker as it leaps through the glass wall and cuts my right arm before I'm able to completely dodge it.
I jump back and with my left hand reflexively throw a piece of broken glass at it. The glass flew directly into it's eye. I stared in disbelief as the blinded Sharukurusu ran into a wall and fell down.
I rip a piece of my shirt off and use it to stop the bleeding on my arm before going to inspect my fallen foe. The enemy laid there silently. I smiled and thought "This will do well" as I wrenched the arm off of my opponent and made it into a more suitable weapon.
Not a second after I had made my oscillating blade arm had large numbers of Zakobons begin to fall on me. I somehow mustered up the energy to hack and slash my way over to where 42 and Snake were fighting.
