Yeah, I know what you mean, SIM
A ton of people that I know got out of college thinking that life was just going to be so easy, they would find a job, they didn't really have any motivations or plans, they sort of just assumed that once you graduated with your degree in what is basically a hobby and not an actual job that they would be able to "do the things they love".
Yeah, because life is just that easy.
People who say that to themselves are always saying "don't do it for the money" or "Just find something you love, and you'll be happy" These are contrivances made by people who want to justify the fact that they ended up not being as successful as other people. The "do what you love" theory is actually misrepresented, it should be "you are successful BECAUSE you love it". If you think that going to college and studying to be, I don't know, a writer or a poet, is a worthy goal, it's only worth the determination that you put into achieving in that particular endeavor.
Sorry... My friends have just been whining a lot lately about how bitterly unfair their lives have become. Mostly because they found out that because they got their communications degrees and can't find jobs because they didn't even bother to work hard, and just wanted something easy so that they could party, has really started to grate on me.
I mean, obviously I can't compare. I won't be in a situation where I'll be in some sort of entry level position, or not have those prereqs you're talking about, SIM, cause I'll be a doctor at the end... I don't know, you just made me think about it. Are you having trouble finding a job now? I can't remember what you were studying... I do remember the photos you posted of you walking during your graduation though lol...
But I've found out that it's less what they were teaching you and more sheer will.
And don't forget the stuff you are learning, Mikey! lol Actually, I don't even know what you are studying...
Heck, I don't even know the point I was trying to make anymore... I guess I'm just ranting. Or maybe I was just saying that now that I have to treat people all day I can't write anything down... It just sucks. Guess that's what happens when you chase something... My spring break is starting tomorrow though... I'll have a week. Maybe something can be done about this
