Cool.
Also, try to get him a cheap computer that's a little less than $1000. Also, tell him that a hard drive with about 20 GB will be plenty for him. I have plenty of video files and clips, and I'm only using about 10 GB of space used.
Also, let Danny know that hard drives are cheap. I bought a 80 GB hard drive for about $100. If you get a cheap computer (about $600-$800), you can easily replace the hard drive as long as you have a disc that allows you to install windows or whatever OS you'll have. If you don't get a disc with the computer, then you shouldn't consider buying it.

We use my hardrive (60 gigs, really only 50 with all the stuff my comp starts up with) to store most of our Music, movies, etc... and with our stuff combined it takes up 20 gigs, not including stuff backed up on discs.

That's good, at least.
But don't forget, you should have about 25% of your hard to be free space. Otherwise, it'll really run slow. You're doing fine right now.
I guess this is good, then. Danny was always complaining about how slow his computer was. At least now he might have some motivation to get a faster computer. Heck, he might even get a better one than mine. (Although, I bet mine is really starting to become obsolete. Heh.)

He probably won't, he might just get one just a lil bit faster and the same HD space, without a burner (i gave him my old one). Just to save on cash.

Well nowadays, you can't get a computer without Windows XP on it. And it'll probably be a lot faster no matter what he picks. (Although XP is a memory hog.)
I think he'll be happier once he gets a new computer and can chat with his friends again.
