Yeah I was wondering about that myself. I came to the conclusion that Tengo just wanted to slam that title out and typing Japanese would have taken too long.
That's my theory, anyway.

Sounds about right, bro.
Anyways, I still have to get around to making a donation to Japan.

Yes. I'm probably going to get that Gaga band. Fabulous and charitable at the same time!

Well whatever floats your boat!
and I just hope the country can recover well as a "WHOLE" because the area around those reactors is gonna be pretty crazy for a while.

Geez 42 you're kinda sarcastic. Yes the term AWHILE can refer to any period of time, it's not supposed to be specific.

Oh please. A half hour is awhile. Waiting in the dentist's office takes awhile. You sit on the bus for awhile. Though awhile can refer to any amount of time, when is it ever used to describe something that lasts for many years, like radiation?
Given the context of the situation, using that word to describe the time that radiation will linger and ravage the environment and people nearby seems absurd.

Well sorry I picked the wrong word, how about "quite a while"?..... geez sometimes I actually understand why exo left.
But let's keep this focused on what the thread is related to (which would consequently be the incident in Japan), not some petty argument over a word that really doesn't matter either way.

lol I'm afraid you don't understand anything regarding that subject, but yes, let's return to the topic.

Wow you.... are impossible. I don't think there's any better way to end than with that. No matter what I say YOU have some sarcastic remark on. News Flash: you're not all that, 42.

I originally posted something extremely belligerent, but then I decided against it. You are not even remotely worth it.
I'll just leave two parts of the original message intact: (1) You have no idea what circumstances really led to exo's current departure, so don't even act like you understand anything, (2) and just give it up. Do you really think you could say anything reasonable or aggressive that would have any effect on me, that would make me reevaluate my position and change my ways? Whatever you may believe, the answer is no.

Another earthquake just happened off the coast of Japan's mainland at around 7 or so this morning. They're predicting another tsunami soon. Things are looking even more grim for Japan lately.

I should really stop relying on the Wikipedia front page news for everything. Have they said if this could effect the efforts to contain the radiation?

They say the earthquake was a little of the main island, Honshu. It was around a magnitude 6.3. Odds are if a tsunami materializes, it won't hit the nuclear reactor.
Also, they had a 6.0 last week, and that produced a little more than ripples in the waves, so hopefully a tsunami won't happen.
On the subject of the reactor, it appears they have stopped a contaminated water leak from the plant. I've also read that it's probably too late to salvage one of the remaining reactors, but a Chernobyl level catastrophe has been averted by quick working people pumping water in to cool down the molten core.
I've been using CNN to get my coverage.
