Fenril, The Master of the Stars
Fenril, my own creation, is a fan character created by me. He came to me in a dream when I was 13 years old and he saved me from a pack of wolves in that dream. He came riding on a giant dragon and saved me from the wolves, which had me pinned on the ground. Since then, I have revised this character into a much more awesome character, who soon became the god of creation, and has created every aspect of reality as we know it. He has created time, 100 dimensions, the universe in the third dimension, all life, and even himself. His name was originally Star Master, and then evolved this name into Fenril, which happens to be one of my favorite names that I have come across.
Fenril, or Star Master, started out showing up in various "worlds" to become a cornerstone of change. Originally, Star Master was a character I put into the Sonic the Hedgehog universe because I was into the comics at that time. Every time a comic came out, I would dream every night on how Star Master would add to the Sonic universe based on the comic and my own imagination. Star Master has since been in many other worlds, such as video game worlds I was into at various times.
Then Star Master evolved once more. In these worlds inspired by others (mostly game developers), Fenril would find the greatest warriors in any world and take them to his home dimension, the 100th dimension. These warriors would basically be split in two to have two of the exact same person, one in the original world, and one in the 100th dimension. The 100th dimension is a world of paradise, and is reserved for only the greatest people of their time. (Since Sonic and friends were still a big part of my life, they were the first to be a part of that world). In the 100th dimension, all who lived there would have eternal life, and would have plenty of ways to improve themselves. They would train at the thousands of towers meant for improving skills. In time, they'd soon grow to the power of Star Master and be able to match him in combat, as the most undefeatable warriors in the universe, with unlimited energy and power. However, such training would take 100 million years to complete if training was rigorous. Still with immortality, it would still be possible. And at times, Star Master could summon warriors from the 100th dimension to fight alongside Star Master when he or they wanted to, to test their skills to their fullest.
And though there were 100 dimensions, it would be impossible for any mortal or immortal to reach the 100th dimension because of the dimensions one would have to get to before they reached it. Each dimensions above the 5th dimension would be a barrier, tougher to get past than the first, and more deadly than the last. In fact, the most frightening dimension was the 99th dimension, the dimension of absolute nothingness. Anything that would reach the 99th dimension would be totally obliterated leaving nothing behind. Not anything could survive, not even thoughts, time, memories, or the ethereal (like spirits). Only Star Master could survive there, because he is immune to his own creation.
Next, about the 100th dimension, it's a paradise of all paradises. It contains one giant planet that's about 100 times larger than Jupiter. For being a giant planet, it has abnormal gravity in that it has regular earth-style gravity for its size. It also has stars in the sky and a sun, though it is all false in that there is only the one planet in that dimension. Now, this giant planet is so enormous, it would take a millennium of pure exploration to explore it all. Also, the planet changes to whoever is on it. There are little stars on the ground and in various places that act as markers for various places. If a warrior touches a star, a new location of events is visible only to that warrior. Also, towns would have fake people that acted like real people, but were just illusions created by Star Master to guide the warriors. They would act like shop keepers and quest givers like in various games.
Then I got into the Dragonball Z world for a short period of time. Gone was the days of simple fighting and Star Master soon became an overpowered god that now could destroy planets and galaxies with just a simple thought. And also along with that was his new million hit combos that could devastate an opponent with an endless combo that would only end when Star Master wanted to, which would usually be when there was not an atom left of the opponent.
Finally, I fell in love with the MegaMan Legends series, which became my most favorite video game action-RPG series. I took Star Master into an RPG on a message board, though I toned him down quite a bit and gave him a new background and name. Thus Fenril was born and became a godmoding RP'er that had a new life.
Fenril's main back-story in that story, MegaMan Dark Days (a twist off of MegaMan Legends), was a very complex one. Fenril had been born 5,000 years ago on a planet known as Gaea. He had been born on that planet as a normal human, and was asked by a god to do a favor for him. His god, Peleor, asked Fenril to find a perfect wife for him. Fenril devoted the next year of his life to find the purest, most perfect woman, and he finally found a woman named Ifalna. Peleor was quite pleased, and asked Fenril what he would like in return. Fenril thought long and hard and finally decided that he would want some ambrosia to give him eternal life (and youthfulness). Fenril, now immortal, set off on his journey.
Now, 4,500 years later, Fenril is 4,500 years old (approximately), and he is searching the universe for fun and pleasure. This is sometimes where many of my RP's start because Fenril is incredibly strong at this point after years of training, and he has many war trophies, like weapons, to show for it. Though Fenril is usually 5,000 years old in those RPG's, he has had some back-story that has something to do with 500 years ago. Also, Fenril has primarily been in MegaMan Legends RPG's, so he has done something with the Ancients 500 years ago when the strived.
In MegaMan Dark Days, the first place where he was brought to the public, he studied with The Master about The Master's cloning techniques. Fenril was looking to create a copy of himself, kind of like a son that has all of his own powers. This brought about a new idea of how Fenril's body worked because he was immortal. Fenril had trouble cloning himself, you see, because he had an extra chromosome which allowed all of his body cells to regenerate. In normal human beings, only certain cells regenerate, and certain cells do not. (Brain cells, for example, do not regenerate. We are born with all the brain cells we will ever have.) Thus, Fenril could not clone himself by normal means because of his extra chromosome. However, a new character came into the RP who I now no longer consider to be a part of Fenril's past because he was created by another person. If you are curious, his name was Xander, and he was born in a ruin that Fenril had left a sample in. Fenril was not around Terra, the MegaMan Legends planet when Xander was born, but Fenril could tell that one of his experiments worked because of certain scans of Xander. Xander actually was born many years after Fenril left because of the air on Terra that affected the sample. Space air was the cause of Fenril's failed experiments. But as mentioned before, that idea was scraped from Fenril's true past, and now the only thing that came out of this was how Fenril became immortal, and that is that extra chromosome.
In a later RPG, about a few years later, Fenril acquired a pair of guns called Corona and Eclipse. He had been searching for these guns for many years, because they were to be found in the only two places in the universe where three stars or black holes formed a perfect equilateral triangle. These guns have souls and speak to the master, which was now Fenril. They used to be hand pistols, and later evolved into shoulder flip-cannons. But at the start, they were pistols that had magic shots. Corona would should plasma and be able to shoot various types of shots, like powered shots and rapid-fire shots. Eclipse would shoot various forms of gravity, and had similar characteristics to Corona.
A little later, Fenril revealed he acquired a rune called the Rune of the Stars. This rune was a dreamed up creation based on the Suikoden series. In the Suikoden series, there are 27 True Runes of power, and my own creation add three more "Forgotten Runes" that allowed control of various aspects of the universe. The Rune of the Stars was supposed to be one of those runes. The Rune of the Stars, once acquired, embedded itself into Fenril's heart and could not be seen by the naked eye. It gave Fenril knowledge of his fate, which was to find the other two Forgotten Runes, which were the Rune of the Heavens and the Rune of the Planets. With these runes, Fenril would become a god, the only human who would truly be converted into a god.
Fenril first acquired the Rune of the Stars 100 years ago. He was using his space ship, the Nova Flare, to scan the universe when suddenly, millions a points on the universe had revealed abnormalities. This was 400 years ago. Fenril then spent 300 years investigating these places and finally found the source, which was the Rune of the Stars. Fenril then acquired the Rune of the Stars, and gained new powers. He gained the power of Star Magic and Gravity Magic, two very powerful kinds of magic that allow control of gravity and the stars. Fenril could now move the stars at will and could cast powerful spells with the power of plasma. Fenril also acquired a new revised version of Corona and Eclipse. Instead of getting Corona and Eclipse the old way, as I originally intended, Fenril first gained Corona and Eclipse from the Rune of the Stars, which were a reward for finding the rune. They were now shoulder flip-cannons that had the same abilities as before, just with an added punch of a longer and wider barrel. At this point Fenril is at his prime, and is the current Fenril today.
Now, there are other things which make Fenril a powerhouse. Fenril has been around a long time, so he has invented many powerful things. The first that he uses all the time is his ship, called the Nova Flare. The Nova Flare is incredibly fast, and has an outer plating of armor of Fenril's own material. This material is an alloy that is made of Meteorite, Orichalcum, and Mythril. This alloy is incredibly durable, thanks to the Meteorite part of it. It also boosts magic power, thanks to the Orichalcum. Finally, this material is extremely light, because of the Mythril. Fenril has found that this material is a cornerstone of his ship's durability.
Along with Fenril's durable and fast ship is its AI, known as Fate. Fate manages everything about the electronics of the ships, and is Fenril's own program. Fate is very formal and talks in technobabble (read: Star Trek). Fate is a very intelligent AI, but due to problems in the past, Fenril keeps it from having its own free will, so it doesn't get out of hand. Also, the Nova Flare is an all-purpose vehicle that serves as Fenril's home, lab, training grounds, and all-around living space. The Nova Flare is about half the size of the Star Trek Enterprise, and is shaped like an F-Zero race car. It's red with black-tinted windows that look oval-shaped and bulging, like an old-fashioned pirate ship portcullis (though those were circular).
Speaking of training, Fenril has found, through one of his experiments, how to go to the fifth dimension. This serves as Fenril's prime area for training his body and experiments. Fenril has a special room in his ship that serves as a portal to the fifth dimension, though that's not the only way to get into the fifth dimension. Fenril can amplify the portal to engulf a small area around the Nova Flare to enter the fifth dimension, as well. Anyways, in the fifth dimension, there are no physical bodies. Upon entering the fifth dimension, the physical body of the person is left behind in the third dimension, and the spirit of the person is transferred to the fifth dimension instead. However, any training done in this dimension reflects on the body AND the spirit of the person, so training will not go to waste. Also, since the spirit is transferred to the fifth dimension, there is no fear of dying, because the spirit will simply be booted out of the fifth dimension, and be transported back to the body in the case of death.
The fifth dimension is rainbow colored, and is a big mesh of colors. It is also a small dimension and is a bit unstable. This dimension is changeable, so Fenril can use his computers to make various small environments like arenas or battlefields. Fenril also tests his new inventions here, and his most recently made invention is an electronic graft that is imbedded into his arm. This allows Fenril to instantly teleport any of his weapons in his armory to him at any time, and it uses the fifth dimension as his medium. Inside the graft is a small fifth dimension portal that is connected to his armory, which allows him to grab any of his weapons at any time. This makes his old weapon, the Beam Morph Weapon (BMW), somewhat obsolete.
The Beam Morph Weapon is Fenril's ultimate weapon. It uses the power of light and magic to shape light into any form and harden it. The range of the light is so small though, it is only fit to be used for weapons and hand tools. Normally, the BMW looks like a light saber hilt, and only forms a weapon when Fenril wants a weapon formed. It is still not able to make weapons as strong as some of his rare finds; however, it has served him well for hundreds of years.
Next of Fenril's list of favorite items is his armor. The Maximillian is also made of the same material as his ship. It provides many features as well as the durability, magic boost, and lightness that also comes with the armor's natural qualities. Inside the armor is an under-padding for comfort, that also has electronic sensors and temperature adjustments so Fenril will stay comfortable in all types of weather. On the soles of his feet are special pads that push off the ground with air, so Fenril steps lighter than most people and reduces the wear on his feet for long journeys that he goes on.
The final part of Fenril's armor is his helmet. His helmet has three spikes that look like dolphin fins. Two come out at his ears and one comes out at the center of his forehead. Inside his helmet are various electronic components which send messages to his pitch-black visor, which covers his eyes. Fenril's helmet's sensors lets him know what's going on, allow him to zoom in on various objects, lets him scan objects for identification, and lets him scan people for a copy of their DNA. In the past, Fenril modified his body to create "packets" of DNA that remained sealed in his body. Fenril was able to shapeshift into various warriors he found to become them and have abilities he would never be able to acquire himself. However, Fenril's mind would be the only thing that would not change, as he created a magic barrier so he would he retain his own mind and not shapeshift entirely. Fenril has lost this ability through future revisions, and only copies the DNA of people he wishes to study back in the Nova Flare.
Finally, the last piece of Fenril's ultimate items is his own programming language. With more and more complex inventions that he's been coming up with, Fenril created a programming language over the course of seven years. This language incorporates many long complex blocks of code into simple commands. So if Fenril wanted to codes something that normally takes weeks to code, Fenril can implement a sub-program that codes it out for him in a matter of seconds, because he already created it in the past. This saves him a lot of time so he can journey much more than spending time coding when he wants a new weapon or feature for his items.
That concludes the history of Fenril. This has been fun for me so I can finally give a full background on my favorite character that I created.

Wow, that's really cool, Sim. So that's where Fenril came from. Lol.
Well, sticking our own chars in animes/cartoons, having them copy moves used by DBZ characters is pretty normal. I guess everyond does that sometime in their lives. I remember mixing Digimon with a bunch of other animes and games to form this crazy imaginative world when I was around 13, I think.
Ooo, and I flattered you included my drawing in your post, lol, though it wasn't really all that great. I'll make a better Fenril pic in the future. ^^ (Never got around to posting it, but I drew head shots of Zero, Axl, and Megaman from our Alternate Legends 3) ^^ I'm trying to turn it into a cover page but I'm having a slight artist block right now. >_>
Funny enough, the first time I saw Sim's drawing of Fenril, it reminded me of one of those big bulky muscular superheroes (e.g. Superman, Green Lanten) from the old comics. Probably because of the six pack (if I remember correctly) sticking out of his tummy. ^^ (that or he ate something terribly wrong XD)
Anyway, took me a little while to read through all that. Very cool though. I haven't played any Sonic games for a loooong time but I used to love it a lot back then. ^^

Wow Sim..... I never knew Fenril had such a background.... *starts crying* I can only imagine you writing a book for little kids called: Fenril, Master of the stars. Oh yea Cere.... If you draw Axl MK 2 on his face he doensn't have the scar... To me it looked pretty much like some kind of biker dude.. I drew Axl Mk2 myself a couple of times Anyway keep Fenril in your heart.. er mind forever Sim ;D You inspired me to make a background of Axl MK2... I wouldn't post it thought you guys would think of it as to much spam and a waste of time.

I'm about to introduce Fenril's new weapon, the Fade-Flay Blade. Can't say much about it yet until it shows in the RP.
Anyways, the next major rune that Fenril is supposed to find gives Fenril special under-arm scythes that are incredibly powerful, and give him a major power boost.
Though Fenril wouldn't find that in this story. It'd be a few thousand years before Fenril finds the next rune.

*cough!* *gag* *wheeze!* That was longer than the "Terms of Service"! Nah, I'm just messing with you SIM. That's some very nice stuff you have there. Good character history created over years of hard thinking, good work man, you did good. Well, I read that for the benefit of knowing more about Fenril, but I probably won't read all of Alternate Legends 3.

You posted just because I had a typo?... You could have at least said something about the background history of Fenril

Nah. Fenril has Sonic the Hedgehog syndrome where characters have thin arms, yet they can smash robots to pieces with their bare hands.
He's a lot more manuverable that way, too.

That's cause Fenril is just soooooo dreamy he needs his own topic! I forgot what fan character here a long time ago had it's own topic, and then was long lived by fans... I think it was one of mistressyuna's characters.
